Stroll Tweed

Hey Everyone!

I was so stoked today when I got back from the grocery store today and my KnitPicks box had arrived while I was out.

I had ordered 10 balls of the Stroll Tweed fingering weight yarn in 5 different colors as well as the luxurious lace collection book. The five colors of Stroll Tweed yarn I got are: Marine Heather, Barn Door Heather, Reindeer Heather, Flagstone Heather and Wellies Heather.

I am really excited to see how the Stroll Tweed knits up and compares to the other KnitPicks sock yarn I have, which include the Palette yarn, the stroll fingering, and Hawthorne Fingering.

While I not a huge sock wearer around the house, I am working on knitting up socks because I would rather be outdoors, including hiking, this time of year. My challenge has been finding boot socks that are thick enough to be warm yet light enough to be comfortable. I am also tired of synthetics wearing out super fast, and not being warm enough in the winter.

My goal for knitting socks is to have a wide variety of colors and textures, not only to be able to keep my feet warm going on adventures in the fall and winter around here as well as I hope to one day live someday where there is colder winters.

This pair took me long Enough

Hey Everyone!

Last night, I finally finished a pair and of socks I have been working on for a bit. This pair took me longer than usual due to having started working nights and sleeping during the day.

This is the second pair of socks I have made using KnitPicks Palette Yarn in Marble Heather and Wonderland Heather. I love how the two tone socks have been turning out.
