Getting ready to Knit Through Winter!

Hey Everyone!

Over the weekend, after I had finished up the Victoria’s Memory Socks, I cast on the first sock I am knitting up out of the Plum Bustle colorway yarn.

Today, the first order of more sock yarn that I had ordered arrived. It is the first of two I had ordered from Forbidden Fiber Company. I realized that I hadn’t had a hank of Gluttony Sock Yarn in my order, so I ordered an additional autumn colored yarn on the gluttony base.

This is the last Steampunk Collection yarn I plan on ordering;

The colorway is: Aquatic Sprite

The yarn base is: Fortitude

These two are from the neutrals Collection:

The colorway of the yarn on the left is: Earl Grey

The colorway of the yarn on the right is: London Fog

Both of these colors I ordered on the Babel yarn base.

The autumn colors that came in this order includes (from L to R): Heirloom Pumpkin, Reclaimed Wood, Scarecrow, Cozy Evening and Autumn is Coming.

Heirloom Pumpkin, Reclaimed Wood, and Cozy Evening are all on the Fortitude Base. Autumn is Coming is on the Pride Base.

Lastly, I had ordered two Hanks of Christmas Sock Yarn. Both Hanks are of the Pride yarn base, and the two colorways are: Joy to the World and Silent Night.

At some point this week, I am going to have to get them wound up into cakes? (If that is the right terminology), I always just call them balls.

This is the bulk of the sock yarn I have ordered. The rest will be arriving in the near enough future. I also ordered a little bit of yarn for hats.

It all started because I only have one pair each of Christmas and Halloween socks. While all the yarn is an up front investment. I figured now would be a great time, while I could. I am also looking towards the future, and where I see myself in five and ten years, is somewhere, where quality hand knit socks are more than just cute accessories, and will be all to functional and practical.
