Time to Slow Down a bit

Hey Everyone!

I have been busy working on socks while I have been on furlough.

One of the interesting things about working with yarn,

The sock on the left is the second sock in its respective pair, and I am waiting on another hank of the yarn to be able to finish up this pair. The other two socks are the first socks in their pair, that I started, while I am waiting on the yarn to finish up the other pair.

This yarn, is the last of the spring / summer colored yarn I ordered. The four hanks on the top are for scarves and the other yarn is sock yarn.

As you might be able to see, there are certain colors I tend to gravitate towards.

I definitely feel like I have been so busy lately, that I am now trying to slow down a bit, and reorganize and refocus on what I had set out to do, and that is to finish up as many pairs if socks as I can before I go back to work.

Spring Colored Yarn

Hey Everyone!

I got my latest order of primarily spring colored sock yarn, today. This yarn is from Bumblebee Acres Fiber Farm, and all the colorway’s are on the Coquette base.

I like the coquette base because it is a thicker base, without being too thick.

The only hank that isn’t one of the spring yarns is the one on the right, that one is “Young Ian” from the Outlander Collection. The Spring Colorways I ordered are: “Purple Rainbow Peeps”, “Cherry Blossom”, “Apple Blossom”, “Feathered Nest”, and “Clutch of Eggs”. I love the Robin’s Egg Blue color.

I am still waiting on the KnitPicks order I put in, which has a couple different spring colors of sock yarn in it. Last I checked (this morning) the order is still processing.

At this point, I have been off work due to the pandemic for six weeks, with two more weeks for sure furloughed. The state of emergency status has been extended until July 6th, and if our governor keeps Parroting Washington’s Governor, I will be off work until at least the end of May.
