Winter Wonderland

Hey Everyone!

It’s been far too long since I last finished a pair of socks, as my job has been keeping me far to busy.

A couple nights ago, I finished up the pair of socks I had been working on for a while.

The yarn I used for this pair of socks is from Forbidden Fiber Company. The Colorway is called “winter wonderland”, and it’s on the Superstition yarn base, and it was from the Christmas in July collection.

I am glad to have this pair of socks done, and have been able to move onto something new. I know I have written about what I want to work through, and then when the time comes to start something new, I definitely change my mind and grab a different yarn.

I have come to the point where I have stopped buying yarn for the time being, and I am working on stash busting my stash, and working with the yarn that I have. I have plenty of options to choose from.

I am definitely hoping that work slows down, and I am able to spend more time knitting in the near future. That may or may not happen, but we will see. I also know that I keep saying that I want to get as many pairs of socks done before summer gets here, and just let them sit in my to be washed bag, and wash all my new socks when the weather gets warm again.

Life post furlough has been hard, work has been busy, and super inconsistent. A lot of my free time, I have spent sleeping, and / or not feeling well. Knitting has taken a back seat to life, and I have missed knitting so much, as Knitting is one of the few things that helps keep me grounded, and like I have a purpose. I also love that when I finish something, I can see what I have accomplished.

This next year, I am definitely going to try to find a new job, and I would love to move, and make many changes for the better.
